Measurement Wizard > Multi-Item Measures > Locus of Control > Locus of Control

This is an adapted version of Rotter's 1966 Locus of Control Scale. It measures internal versus external locus of control. Those with an internal locus of control believe that their own actions are responsible for the rewards they receive, while those with an external locus of control believe that rewards are outside of their control and their actions have little effect.

Higher scores indicate an external locus of control. Lower scores indicate an internal locus of control.
