Evangelical Presbyterian Church (1956)

Evangelical Presbyterian Church was the name taken by the larger segment of the Bible Presbyterian Church following the split of that church in 1956. The name for the larger group had been adopted in 1961 to avoid confusion with Dr. Carl McIntire's smaller group.

Data were taken from the National Council of Churches' Historic Archive CD and recent editions of the Yearbook of American and Canadian Churches. The National Council of Churches' data collection was discontinued after the 2012 Yearbook was published, and has been resumed by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies (ASARB).
