Summary

This survey of Calvary Chapel Downey participants was part of a large research grant from the Lilly Endowment to study rapidly growing non-mainline churches. Calvary Chapel Downey (Downey, CA) was one of four non-mainline churches surveyed.

The ARDA has added six additional variables to the original data set to enhance the users' experience on our site.

Self-administered surveys

Sampling Procedures

Surveys were distributed on four consecutive Sunday services in 1993. Although Calvary Chapel Downey did not have a membership list, the principal investigators estimate (see Perrin, Kennedy and Miller, 1997) that between 50% and 60% of those regularly attending the church completed the survey.
