This survey of Calvary Chapel Downey participants was part of a large research grant from the Lilly Endowment to study rapidly growing non-mainline churches. Calvary Chapel Downey (Downey, CA) was one of four non-mainline churches surveyed.The ARDA has added six additional variables to the original data set to enhance the users' experience on our site.

Surveys were distributed on four consecutive Sunday services in 1993. Although Calvary Chapel Downey did not have a membership list, the principal investigators estimate (see Perrin, Kennedy and Miller, 1997) that between 50% and 60% of those regularly attending the church completed the survey.Principal Investigators
