Summary

This survey aims to capture the views of Evangelical and Black Protestant pastors on a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to: work-life balance among pastors, dealing with conflict, the provision of counseling, previous training, and feelings related to their jobs in ministry. The sample features 1,500 cases and was sponsored by the North American Mission Board and Richard Dockins, MD.

The ARDA has added four additional variables to the original data set to enhance the users' experience on our site.

Collection Procedures

The survey was conducted via phone. The sample consists of Evangelical and Black Protestant pastors, ministers, or priests present at the church that was called.

Sampling Procedures

A random sample was drawn from a calling list of all Evangelical and Black Protestant churches. It was stratified by church membership and denomination.
