Anglican Mission in the Americas (2000 - Present) - Religious Group
Religious Family: Anglican/EpiscopalReligious Tradition: Unclassified
Description: The Anglican Mission in the Americas formed in 2000 as an outgrowth of the conservative Continuing Church movement in the United States. It was initiated by the consecration of Revs. Charles H. Murphy and John H. Rodgers as missionary bishops to the United States, who represented Rwanda and Southeast Asia, respectively. The mission sees itself as an Anglican missionary effort in the United States and not a new church. They are open to a wide range of beliefs and practices within Anglicanism.
