Description: The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church grew out of the Seceder Movement that broke with the Church of Scotland in the 1740s. It formed in 1782 as the merger between the Associate Presbyterian Church and the Reformed Presbyterian Church. In 1822, the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church split into northern and southern branches. The southern branch continues today as the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (General Synod). The church is a member of the International Conference of Reformed Churches.
