Religious Family: BuddhismReligious Tradition: Buddhism
Description: The Cambridge Buddhist Association is a nonsectarian center for lay Buddhist practice and studies. The association was founded after Mr. and Mrs. John Mitchell convinced Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki, a Buddhist scholar, and Dr. Shinichi Hisamatsu to establish a Western-style Zendo. The group dissolved in 2011; however, their space is still used by various Buddhist groups in the area.
