Federation of Reformed Churches (1990 - Present) - Religious Group

Religious Family: Presbyterian/Reformed
Religious Tradition: Evangelical Protestant
Description: The Federation of Reformed Churches began in 1990 in Fairfax, Virginia, as the Fellowship of Reformed Churches. In 1992, the name of the denomination changed to its present name, the Federation of Reformed Churches. The group describes its founding motivation as a response to Biblical beliefs and historic practices falling into disfavor; this led a group of pastors to seek a new denomination with the freedom to uphold these beliefs and practices. The church today seeks to serve local churches and allows them to express connection to the Catholic church.
