Description: The Jehovah Conference was founded in large part by German clergyman Rev. Wilhelm C.F. Hartwig, a representative of the Lower Hessian Mission Association. The small, six-congregation conference centered around Detroit, Michigan, and prized the Augsburg Confession as the only reliable Lutheran confession. After Hartwig's death in 1927, the Conference faded away.
