Description: The American Yoga Association, previously known as Light of Yoga Society, was founded by Alice Christensen. Members of this society practice hatha-yoga and meditation daily. Members also consume a vegetarian diet, practice ahimsa (nonviolence), avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and are restrained in their use of sex.
