Progressive Primitive Baptists (c. 1910 - Present) - Religious Group
Religious Family: BaptistReligious Tradition: Evangelical Protestant
Description: In the early 1900s, there was a split among Primitive Baptists between those who supported the use of instruments, Sunday school, youth ministries, missions, men's brotherhoods, women’s auxiliaries, and non-congregationally based ministries, and those who did not support them. Progressive Primitive Baptists embraced all of these things. The emotional divide between the groups is not as large as it was, but differences still exist.
