Description: Arunachala Ashrama was founded by Arunachala Bhakta Bhagawat, who was inspired by the life and teachings of Sri Ramana Masharshi. The teachings of Ramana Masharshi were said to be imparted simply by the silence of his presence, which could confer the peace of Self-realization. His oral teachings included the paths of Self-inquiry and Self-surrender.
